A Threat lurking around!

  The Fight against COVID-19 Threatens to Cause Collateral Health Damage According to one estimate, the initial wave of the COVID-19 epidemic will kill 70,000 Americans. Of course, this is a horrible figure, but it is significantly less than the 650,000 people who are predicted to die from heart disease this year. Naturally, government officials, health-care providers, and the general public should do all possible to stop COVID-19 from spreading. However, we must do so without increasing the public health issues that existed prior to the arrival of the coronavirus. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) advice to postpone all non-urgent and elective operations has to be looked into further. However, many of these are scheduled in advance to avoid or treat chronic conditions, even if they are not emergencies. They aren't an alternative.
